It`s almost like not being in Japan

Since Saturday afternoon, we have been in Tokyo, hanging out with Garthe, and Michael, and other expats. We have had the very satisfying conversations, in English, replete with nouns and verbs and even modifiers of different flavors. Last night, Garthe and I went to a pub called the Fiddler, ordered everything in English, drank English beer, and ate real chips, you know, the crisp ones, not Freedom Fries? So yes, it`s almost like being back home.

But enough of that! Trevor has gone to China (someone has to do work around here), and I have stayed on in the land of the rising sun. This, because of two times I have been here, I still have not gone farther north than Tokyo. Zut alors!

As promised, a few words about SmaSTATION. Um, it was in Japanese. It was funny to people that speak Japanese. Shingo was there. His hair was almost platinum blonde and spiky. And he has a gaggle of ridiculously skinny girls sitting behind him for the entire show. We don`t know why.

Next--reports from Nikko, and more "I don`t know why"!
